Perjusa at SD Presiden
SD Presiden successfully held its annual Perjusa (Perkemahan Jumat Sabtu) event on April 25–26, 2025. The event opened with a morning assembly led by Mr. Yayan Mulyana, Principal of SD Presiden, who delivered an inspiring speech to kick off the activities. Students were then divided into several groups based on gender to prepare for the day’s exciting challenges.
The day continued with energetic wide games sessions designed to foster teamwork and quick thinking. Students learned how to use semaphores, an essential communication skill in scouting, and participated in agility games such as moving sticks from one point to another. These activities were not only fun but also taught the students important values like cooperation, discipline, and resilience.
One of the highlights of the day was the Panen Karya (Harvest of Creations) session. Our Siaga Scouts (Grades 2 and 3) demonstrated their creativity by crafting DIY pencil holders using recycled materials. This activity encouraged innovation, environmental awareness, and hands-on problem-solving skills. Additionally, the students participated in a vital session led by BPBD (Regional Disaster Management Agency), where they learned about flood disaster management—an essential knowledge in today’s changing climate.
The evening brought everyone together for a cozy barbecue dinner, strengthening camaraderie among students and teachers. The next morning, each team proudly showcased their talents through various performances, ranging from singing to short drama acts. Finally, the event concluded with a heartfelt closing assembly and the official inauguration of the new SD Presiden Scouts. This unforgettable experience not only instilled valuable life skills but also deepened students’ sense of responsibility, leadership, and creativity.
