Book Week at President Elementary School: Celebrating the Love of Reading and Literacy

In June, SD President enthusiastically held a Book Week event to foster a love of reading and increase literacy among students. Book Week at President Elementary School features a series of interesting activities designed to inspire and involve students in the world of literacy. The opening of Book Week began with an inspirational ceremony from the school principal who introduced this year’s theme.

During the week, students participate in various activities such as speed reading competitions that hone their reading skills, and a story corner filled with storytelling sessions by teachers and special guests, bringing students’ imagination and creativity to life. Not only that, a book exhibition featuring a collection of interesting and educational books is also held, where students can borrow and buy books. Book discussions in groups provide an opportunity for students to share opinions and understand different perspectives. The presence of famous children’s book authors as special guests provided valuable insight into the writing process and the world of literacy.

This event was also enlivened by a children’s story theater which presented interesting performances, as well as a fashion show involving teachers, staff and students at President Elementary School. This creative and colorful display added to the excitement of Book Week, showcasing the talent and creativity of the entire school community.

The main aim of this event is to increase interest in reading, develop literacy skills, and inspire students to imagine and be creative through stories and books. Apart from that, this event also aims to strengthen relationships between students, teachers and staff, creating a harmonious and supportive school environment.
