Exploring Knowledge: SD President Students’ Field Trip to the Geology Museum
On March 29, 2024, SD President students will embark on an exciting educational experience through a field trip to the Geology Museum. This visit is expected to provide students with new insights into the earth’s history, Indonesia’s geological wealth, and the importance of environmental conservation.
Purpose of the Visit:
Geological Education:
Students will be introduced to various aspects of geology, including rock formations, volcanic formation processes, and the role of geology in shaping Indonesia’s natural characteristics. They will learn directly through interactive exhibits and geological replicas displayed in the museum.
Increasing Environmental Awareness:
The visit to the Geology Museum also aims to raise students’ awareness of the importance of environmental conservation. They will understand the impact of human activities on the earth’s geology and learn about conservation efforts that can be undertaken to maintain ecosystem balance.
Development of Observation Skills:
Students will be encouraged to closely observe various artifacts and geological materials exhibited in the museum. They will be trained to identify different types of rocks, fossils, and minerals, and to understand the significance of the information that can be obtained from geological evidence.
